About This Journal
AUIQ Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publication dedicated to advancing research across a broad spectrum of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. Its primary goal is to publish innovative, hypothesis-driven, and evidence-based scholarship that contributes to the development of knowledge, understanding, and critical discourse in these fields.
This journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Journal History
Founded in 2025, the AUIQ Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) is a newly established peer-reviewed journal published by Al-Ayen Iraqi University and hosted on the Digital Commons platform. The journal is dedicated to providing a rigorous and inclusive venue for high-quality research across various disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. As an open-access publication, AHSS aims to promote scholarly exchange, foster intellectual dialogue, and contribute to the development of knowledge in these vital fields.
Publishing schedule
The journal publishes three issues annually and is exclusively available in an online format.
- First issue: January – April
- Second issue: May – August
- Third issue: September – December

Language
The journal publishes articles in both English and Arabic. For articles written in Arabic, the title, abstract, keywords, author names, and affiliations are also provided in English.
Digital Archiving
To ensure the permanent accessibility of published content, the journal’s articles are archived in two leading digital preservation platforms, CLOCKSS and Portico.
